Courtney Stovall: Why "It's Not Your Fault" Is So Hard To Swallow

When a manipulative, destructive marriage ends in divorce, oftentimes the manipulating person (your ex or soon-to-be ex) will place the guilt and blame on you, adding insult to injury and exponentially magnifying the heartbreak and stress that divorce can cause. It's almost impossible to recover from the sadness and despair, simply because you feel like the divorce was your fault. It's time to realize that it's not your fault, as hard as that may be to accept.

This feeling of blame is simply a case of the manipulative person projecting his/her behavior on to you. He or she will rationalize their actions by pointing out your faults, and they will deflect their guilt and remorse by placing blame on you. These are the types of people who should be using the clich?d phrase "It's not you, it's me," but egos prevent them from ever admitting any kind of blame or fault and showing any remorse or guilt.

In extreme cases, these people go undetected in society with severe personality disorders (known as many different terms including psychopaths, sociopaths, antisocial disorder, narcissistic disorder, and others). But the spectrum is wide, and there are all levels of abuse, betrayal, and deceit that happen in marriages to manipulative people. These people can leave with no apologies and no signs of remorse, never to make contact again (as there's no more need for you in their game of domination), and you are left thinking "What did I do wrong?" "Was I not good enough?" and "What didn't they love about me?"

The hardest thing to swallow, admit, and really believe is that this is not your fault. In normal relationships and marriages, maybe--maybe--there was something you could have done better, talked about more, or addressed earlier on. But, in the case of a manipulative relationship, the person you were with was never truly emotionally connected or involved in the relationship in the same way that you were. They were only involved for their own personal gain--sex, money, ego, thrill, and so on. They will do this to the next person and the next, and it won't be those people's faults either.

You cannot be at fault for truly loving, giving your all, and being sincere and honest. It's hard to realize that, but at the simplest level, think about it--how can someone get in trouble for being good?

It's not your fault--don't make it that way. The only thing that you can be to blame for is a poor judge of a bad character and giving someone the benefit of the doubt or too many chances. In a strange truth, the world doesn't always revolve around you. A therapist said to one of our BounceBack members who was going through this situation, "You know, as wild as it may seem, this might actually have nothing to do with you." In the case of manipulative relationships, this is almost always the case.

Continue to remind yourself that "It's not me, it's you" might be the right phrase for you for this occasion, and be proud of yourself for being true to your feelings. Know that the manipulative person will most likely jump from relationship to relationship, marriage to marriage, and divorce to divorce, treating everyone the same way they treated you, and never finding the true happiness you will be able to find.

Anynod?s Smart Cover Clone Pulled From Samsung Stores

Anynod's Smart Case hit the interwebs yesterday and caused more than a few people to call for Samsung's head. Why? Well, Samsung retail stores throughout Korea where selling the blatant?rip-off of Apple's Smart Cover. But while Samsung was facilitating the case, it was actually made and distributed by Anynod. It doesn't matter anymore. Samsung did the right thing and has pulled the case from its stores stating it wasn't approved nor received the official "Designed for Samsung Mobile" certification.

Mancini moves to defuse Wenger Nasri row (AFP)

LONDON (AFP) ? Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has moved to defuse his feud with Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger over his public pursuit of Gunners star Samir Nasri.

Mancini enraged Wenger on Saturday when he admitted in a television interview that he hoped to sign France midfielder Nasri "by the end of the month".

The Italian's comments broke the unwritten rule that managers never speak publicly about their interest in other teams' players and Wenger gave a scathing response.

Wenger accused Mancini of lacking respect and breaking the "basic rules of football" by being so blatant in his desire to tempt Nasri to Eastlands.

But Mancini, who also went public with his interest in Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero in the same interview, was surprised by Wenger's outburst.

"I said only that Nasri, (Sergio) Aguero are two good players and I said also that Nasri is under contract with Arsenal," Mancini said on Sky Sports News on Sunday.

"I don't know why he's upset. Because the question was about some good players, I say it like this.

"I said also that Nasri is under contract with Arsenal and it's difficult. Only this."

Cats Make Great Pets You Know | topcatproductreviews

Cats are very good pets as they don?t require as much attention as other options such as a dog. You don?t have to walk the cat and you don?t have to deal with it barking at everything that happens to walk by your home. Young cats are extremely playful and you can interact with them when you want to. However, most cats are content to play with toys or to be independent.

This doesn?t mean that cats aren?t excellent companions though. They can be silly at times and they often enjoy curling up on your lap and purring. Your cat won?t come running when you are home at the end of day and knock you over. They also don?t lick or bite so you won?t have to worry about how they will interact with others when you have company. Cats always seem to be able to tell when you need some comfort.

Taking care of a pet can help a child to become more responsible but some pets just come with too much time required. A cat makes a perfect choice for children because they tend to take care of themselves. As long as they are given sufficient food and water they will remain happy. Indoor cats will have to be trained to use a litter box but most of them learn very quickly so you won?t have to deal with cleaning up such messes around your home. However, you need to clean the litter box regularly because cats do not like to use a dirty litter box.

Cats are clean animals as they spend a large amount of time grooming themselves each day. In the majority of cases, cats lead a very happy and long life without too many problems. They don?t cost very much because cat food and litter are very cheap. They don?t require as many vet visits for routine shots either like dogs do which can become quite expensive.

For those that have problems with mice, cats make a great natural system for taking care of them. This means you won?t have to deal with messy traps or dangerous poisons around your home. Many cat owners claim they haven?t come across a mouse in their home for years with this line of defense.

Cats are very precious and beautiful animals as well. They have a gentle hum to them that can be relaxing for humans. They have coats in all colors as well as eyes that are very shiny and bright. Each cat has their own personality and you just can?t help but adore them. There are many breeds of cats if you want a particular kind but some of the most beautiful cats are those that are mixed breeds.

Cats are very smart animals too so they will quickly catch up to what you like from them and what you don?t based on the praise you give them. Contrary to popular belief, cats are obedient and they want their owner?s to be happy with them. They will learn fast that you don?t like them scratching on the furniture or putting their tail in your face while you are sleeping.
